Are your professional development courses registered to the NSW Institute of Teachers?
The Project - School Industry Arts is a NSW Institute of Teachers' endorsed provider of Institute Registered professional development for the maintenance of accreditation at Professional Competence. Each of the 2012 advertised programs and courses are endorsed by the Institute. The Scope of Endorsement Professional Teaching Standards for 2012 programs and courses are: Show Choir Program (2 days) 1.2.1, 3.2.4, 4.2.4, 4.2.5, 5.2.3, 6.2.4 and 7.2.3 Music Theatre Program (2 days) 4.2.4, 4.2.5, 5.2.3, 6.2.4, 6.2.5 and 7.2.3 Stage and Production Management Program (2 days) 1.2.1, 3.2.4, 4.2.4, 4.2.5, 5.2.3, 6.2.4 and 6.2.5 Teaching the VET Entertainment Industry Syllabus Program (2 days) 1.2.1, 3.2.1, 4.2.1, 4.2.5, 6.2.4 and 6.2.5 Large-Scale Performance Course (1 day) 1.2.1, 3.2.4, 4.2.4, 4.2.5, 5.2.3, 6.2.4, 6.2.5 and 7.2.3 Narrative Dance Course (1 day) 2.2.1, 2.2.4, 3.2.7, 4.2.3, 4.2.4, 4.2.5, 6.2.4, 6.2.5 and 7.2.3
Can you provide evidence of provider endorsement by the NSW Institute of Teachers for my school?
Once we have confirmed your booking, we will email you a letter of confirmation that clearly states that The Project - School Industry Arts is a NSW Institute of Teachers' endorsed provider of Institute Registered professional development for the maintenance of accreditation at Professional Competence for your schools’ records.
Will you register my course/ program attendance with the NSW Institute of Teachers?
Within one week of course/program completion, we will submit a full list of attending teachers to the NSW Institute of Teachers as per endorsed provider guidelines.
Are all courses/programs confirmed at the time of booking?
Each course/program is dependent on a minimum number of bookings, and each course/program will be confirmed two weeks prior to the advertised date of the course/program. The Project – Schools Industry Arts is committed to running every advertised course in 2012 and will take all action to ensure delivery. However, in the unfortunate event of course/program cancellation, every booked teacher will be given the opportunity to transfer their booking to another course/program or if another course/program is not available or at the teacher’s choosing, a full refund will be given.
Am I able to transfer or cancel my booking if I am no longer able to attend a course/program?
If you are unable to attend a booked course/program, your booking may be transferred to another teacher from your school for the same course/program up until the advertised date of delivery.
If you are unable to attend a booked course/program and wish to transfer your booking to another advertised course/program, you may do so prior to two weeks out from the original course/program advertised date, pending availability. Please contact The Project - Schools Industry Arts team directly on 02 9351 7922 or info@schoolsindustryarts.com.au with your request we will do our best to accommodate.
If you are unable to attend a booked course/program and do not contact us prior to two weeks out from the original course/program advertised, the fee is not refundable and you will not be credited with attendance with the NSW Institute of Teachers.
Do I need to prepare anything prior to attending a booked course/program?
The Project - Schools Industry Arts team will email you some information about your course/program a month prior to the advertised course/program date, more for your own preparation. At this time we will also email you a brief questionnaire for you to complete to provide us with helpful information about your current performing arts program and plans for the future so we can best prepare for a productive and relevant course/program.
